Iolite, also known as water sapphire, is a violet-blue stone occasionally mistaken for amethyst. These dark iolites are unusual because they have a few little threads of golden rutile (also known as angel hair or Venus hair) in them. The ring is about 1/2 inch wide. Available in sizes 6 1/2 and 7.
